Notice for Businesses We Contact
If S & CC Group Inc ("S&CC Group", "we", "us") emailed or called your business and you had not contacted us first, this notice is for you.

Why we contacted you
We contact owner-led service businesses that may benefit from a website we build and maintain for them. We contact businesses only, and only about this service.
How we contact you
- Email first. If your business publishes an email address on its own website, we email that address first. Our emails come from David Hall, our founder, at [email protected]. Every email says that it is an advertisement, names S&CC Group, gives our mailing address, and explains how to stop further email and calls.
- One follow-up call. If you do not reply to our email, we may call your business once, a few business days later.
- A call when we have no email address. If we found no email address for your business, we may call once instead of emailing.
We call a phone number no more than once in any 12 months, unless your business replies to us, asks for the free one-page website outline we offer, or asks us to call.
Calls come from +1 (619) 289-8497. A person dials every call by hand. We do not use automated dialing or recorded messages, and we do not record calls. On every call, the caller gives their own name, S&CC Group's name, a callback number, and our mailing address.
Where we found your details
- Your business's public Google Maps listing. From it we recorded the business name, phone number, type of business, address, Google star rating and number of reviews, the web address of the listing, and the website the listing gives.
- One web search, only if the listing gives no website of your business's own. We searched for your business's name to check whether it has a website. We take no phone numbers or email addresses from search results.
- Your business's own website, if it has one. We read its home page and, where there is one, its contact page. We recorded the email addresses published there and the page where each appears, and basic facts about the site: whether it uses a secure connection, whether it is set up for phone screens, the copyright year it shows, and the service it was built with, such as WordPress or Wix. We take email addresses only from your business's own website, never from a booking, directory, or social media page.
What we keep
The outreach record for your business holds:
- The details listed under "Where we found your details", the results of the web search if we ran one, and a saved copy of the website pages we read.
- Our own notes, such as the date we collected the details and your business's place in our contact order.
- A log of each email, call, and reply: the date, whether we emailed or called, which message we sent, and any reply or call outcome.
How to stop contact
You can stop our emails and calls at any time. Any one of these works:
- Reply to any of our emails and ask us to stop, in any words. This works for any email we have sent you, however long ago.
- Email [email protected] and ask us to stop. If you write from an address we did not contact, include the email address or phone number we used, so that we can find your business.
- Tell us during a call.
Once we receive your request, we send your business no further outreach or marketing email and make no further calls to it. We record the request on our do-not-contact list the same day. Each entry on the list holds only what the list needs to work: the email address, web domain, or phone number we must not contact, the reason, the date, and how the request reached us.
If your business later asks us for something, such as a website outline, or becomes our customer, we send only the emails needed for that request or service, such as billing notices, and we call only if your business asks us to.
How we use it
We use the outreach record only to offer our website service to your business, to keep our calls within the limits under "How we contact you", and to honor a request to stop. Our messages may mention your Google rating, and what we noticed about your business's website or that we could not find one.
Where a privacy law asks for a legal reason, ours is a legitimate business interest: offering a relevant service to another business, and honoring its choice to decline.
Who sees it
The providers that run our email, phone, file storage, search data, and AI tools handle the outreach record for us. We do not sell it, and we do not give it to other companies for their own marketing. We turn off model training in the settings of the AI tools we use, so their providers do not train their models on the information we give them.
How long we keep it
We delete the outreach record for your business 12 months after the last email, call, or reply between us. If we collected your business's details but never contacted it, we delete them 12 months after we collected them.
If your business asks us for an outline or becomes a customer, our Privacy Policy sets how long we keep those records. A do-not-contact entry stays for as long as needed to make sure your business is not contacted again.
Your other choices
You can ask us what we hold about your business, ask for a copy, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email [email protected] with the subject line "Privacy request". If you ask us to delete the outreach record and also want no further contact, we keep only the do-not-contact entry, so that your request keeps working.
